Carly and Matt had the most beautiful wedding weekend at Wild Carrot in St. Louis this past September, and I’m so stoked to finally share it.
The weekend kicked off at Scarlett’s Wine Bar. I got to meet everyone and put faces to names, and have conversations with so many lovely people. I got to capture everyone casually chatting over their yummy pizza & wine, grandpa’s toast, as well as a few group photos & couples portraits.
I love shooting rehearsal dinners and welcome parties because the following morning when I see everyone again, I feel like I have already gotten a head start. Everyone knows my name and what I look like and are automatically 10x more comfortable with me before I even took a photo. Instead of people feeling a little shy and nervous on the wedding day when the photographer shows up, everyone felt excited! It’s the best feeling ever and exactly how I want my couples days to kick off. Not to mention, rehearsal dinners are such a blast so of course you want those special memories captured too!
Their wedding the following day was held at Wild Carrot. Everyone showed up ready to CELEBRATE, and it was such a blast. My favorite moment from their day was 100% their personal vows. They read them during the ceremony and they were so well done. Everyone was crying – it was such a beautiful moment to capture.
Same time next year Carly & Matt?! 😉
