WOW… what a perfect day! Annie + Eli got hitched on the most gorgeous April day – 75 degrees and sunny! The joy that filled this modern St. Louis wedding is truly hard to put into words. These two are such kind, goofy, and big hearted people; I knew this day would be amazing – and it was! But, what made this day so freaking special to me is that Eli is actually my brother!
Photographing a family member’s wedding was complicated at times (like uhh who takes our family picture? Hah!), but so wonderful. So many people when I told them I was shooting my brother’s wedding replied, “Oh but now you won’t have any fun!” This couldn’t be further from the truth.
First, I chose to be a wedding photographer. & I chose it because I love it! So why would I not love it when it is for someone I love so much like my brother?
Second, I got to experience literally every aspect of their day with them. Where they went, I went. From hanging out with them while they got ready, to seeing their first look firsthand, to taking their photos on the rooftop of Neo during sunset, I got to be part of it all. This was so special to me and I feel so grateful I got to experience all of this with them.
Now if I were you right now, I would get snuggled in a blanket on the couch and seriously GRAB A BOX OF TISSUES before starting to look through these modern St. Louis wedding photos, because this day was nothing short of emotional. From Eli’s tears at watching his beautiful bride walk down the aisle, to the amazing speeches that made people laugh and cry all in the same minute, to the crazy fun dance party at the end, these photos will pull at your heart strings. These two are so loved, and clearly know how to love others so dang well. Everyone was so pumped to celebrate them! I am so happy for my brother and so stoked to have Annie be officially part of my family! You guys are MARRIED!! 🙂
